Healthy Bones, Balance & Feet Workshop

 

You may not pay them a lot of attention, but your feet are super important and literally key to staying on your feet.  As you age (and we ALL are!) the feet are an integral part of maintaining balance skills, staying active and keeping bones strong & healthy.

In this session you’ll learn:

  • Why to love your feet, not loathe them
  • Common things to monitor for in your foot care routine
  • The importance of balance in an active lifestyle
  • How to promote bone health at any age
  • Simple yoga moves to improve balance & strength

BYO blanket and water bottle. Please wear layers for the alternating periods of movement and stillness. Bookings are essential, and we expect this one to fill fast. We hope to see you there for what promises to be a memorable, unique event!

About The Presenters

Charley Hickey C-IAYT is a senior yoga teacher & certified practicing yoga therapist with a love of martial arts. She is the owner of Charleyoga and has two decades of teaching experience and over 35 years of yoga and meditation practice. Her work includes regular group and private therapy classes along with specialised workshops.

She has a special interest in yoga for chronic pain, working with older adults & those recovering from injury. Charley’s workshops are engaging, fun and interactive, combining evidence-based practices rooted in traditional yoga philosophy.

Our co-host is the lovely Dr Eugenie Nicolandis, podiatric surgeon, podiatrist and long-time yoga practitioner.

Eugenie says “Every day we walk through life using our feet without a second thought until something starts to go wrong. I have dedicated my study and my ongoing passion for a healthy body and specialising in feet, biomechanics (lower limbs), foot surgery, for over 20 years.”

We are so fortunate to have her valuable expertise on this specialised topic.
