Our foam roller workshop (Self Myofascial Release) is great for anyone who wants to actively manage bodily tension. Learn how to find places in your body where you can improve your mobility. Be quick as this one is popular & usually books out in advance!
Run by senior yoga teacher and experienced yoga therapist Charley Hickey C-IAYT. Learn how to safely and effectively use self-myofascial release (SMR) with a foam roller and massage balls. Great for getting into tight spots in the body that other techniques may have missed. Also included are gentle yoga movements, progressive muscle relaxation, meditation, and breathing practices. No experience is needed at all with beginner rollers & balls provided to use on the day. Many people own a foam roller yet aren’t sure what to do with it so it’s an opportunity to get some pointers. The day includes morning tea and notes.
Please bring a yoga mat and blanket, all other equipment is provided but you can bring your own foam roller to experiment with if you have one.
Please note: This workshop is beneficial for yoga teachers to attend to pick up tips for injury management. Many yoga teachers have attended this topic in the past, see testimonials below. A certificate can be provided for professional development points for relevant associations like Yoga Australia & the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
