Our foam roller workshop (Self Myofascial Release) is great for anyone who wants to manage bodily tension actively. Learn how to find places in your body where you can improve your mobility. Be quick as this one is popular & usually books out in advance!
Run by senior yoga teacher and experienced yoga therapist Charley Hickey C-IAYT. Learn how to safely and effectively use self-myofascial release (SMR) with a foam roller and massage balls. Great for getting into your tight spots that other techniques may have missed.
Also included are:
- Gentle yoga movements
- Progressive muscle relaxation technique
- Meditation, and breathing practices.
No experience is needed with beginner rollers & balls provided to use on the day. Many people own a foam roller yet aren’t sure what to do with it so it’s an opportunity to get some pointers. The day includes morning tea and notes.
Please bring a yoga mat and blanket. All other equipment is provided but you can BYO foam roller to experiment with if you have one.
Please note: This workshop is beneficial for yoga teachers to attend to pick up tips for injury management. Many yoga teachers have attended this topic in the past, see testimonials below. A certificate can be provided for professional development points for relevant associations like Yoga Australia & International Association of Yoga Therapists.
